The BlueKey™ series of products utilizes Bluetooth wireless technology in handhelds, portables, cellphones and PDAs to work. In order for the BlueKey™ software to work, your wireless device needs to meet the following minimum requirements:

* Bluetooth enabled
* Java MIDP 2.0
* Java JSR-82 enabled
* Internet Access or Data Plan - this comes from your wireless device carrier, and is only used during the application installation

Specific notes about carrier compatability:


AT&T:
NOTE: THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE APPLE iPHONE OR THE RIM BLACKBERRY.
THERE ARE SEPARATE APPLICATIONS FOR THESE UNDER THE MANUFACTURER SECTION.
AT&T branded cellphones require the applications to be AT&T signed and to be Over The Air (OTA) downloaded to the cellphone.
We have AT&T signed versions of our applications.
Some AT&T branded Motorola cellphones do not have Java JSR-82 Bluetooth, although the un-branded unlocked versions of these same phones may.


T-Mobile:
T-Mobile branded cellphones will usually work with UTI signed or unsigned applications.
We have UTI signed and unsigned versions of our applications.
Some T-Mobile branded Motorola cellphones do not have Java JSR-82 Bluetooth, although the un-branded unlocked versions of these same phones may.

T-Mobile G1:
Due to technical limitations on the G1, our application does not run on the G1 at this time.
A special Android version of our application is being developed for the G1.
Expected release time is Q1 2009.


Sprint:
The Sprint LG Fusic and LG Muzic will work.
Some other Sprint branded cellphones will work.
Future Sprint branded cellphones will have greater compatability.
To load the applications onto a Sprint cellphone requires a BlueKey technician to make modifications to the cellphone to accept the application at this time.
Future changes coming to Sprint should eliminate this need.



Sprint iDEN:
Most Sprint iDEN phones will work with either unsigned or UTI signed applications.
NOTE: AS OF APRIL 2008, IT IS NOT POSSBILE TO LOAD NEW SOFTWARE ONTO iDEN CELLPHONES.
SPRINT HAS BEEN WORKING WITH MOTOROLA ON THIS ISSUE.
NO ETA FOR A FIX HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED YET.


Verizon:
Our application is NOT compatible with the standard Verizon BREW cellphones.
Our application IS compatible with the Open Initiative unlocked cellphones that are usable on Verizon's network that meet the requirements.

Others:
Any unlocked cellphones that meet our requirements will work with our application.



Specific notes about manufacturer compatability:


Apple:
At this point in time, Apple has not made available any way of creating Bluetooth applications for the iPhone or iPod Touch. When they do so, we will have an application for them.


Research in Motion (RIM):
NOTE: Requires Blackberry Software Version 4.2.1.xxx and up
Will work with: Pearl, Flip, Curve, Bold, Storm, 8800 Series, 8700 Series, 7200 Series, 7100 Series, 7520 and all newer Blackberry products
Requires a RIM signed application.
We have RIM signed versions of our applications, and support both Over The Air (OTA) install the application to the phone, and Blackberry Desktop Manager installations of the applications to the phone.


LG:
NOTE: For LG GSM cellphones ONLY - CDMA cellphones not supported yet
We have LG Signed versions of our applications for use on LG GSM cellphones
Sprint branded LG FUSIC and LG MUZIQ - we have special versions for these phones


Motorola:
NOTE: For Motorola cellphones that are NOT AT&T, Verizon or SPRINT Branded
We have UTI signed versions of our applications for these phones

Motorola AURA:
Our application will run on the Motorola AURA. Because of the round screen on the AURA, there may be navigation issues.


Nokia:
NOTE: For Nokia cellphones that are NOT AT&T, Verizon or SPRINT Branded
We have special versions of the applications for Series 40 2nd edition cellphones, and UTI signed and unsigned versions of the application for Series 60, Series 80 and Series 90 Nokia cellphones.


SAMSUNG:
NOTE: For SAMSUNG cellphones that are NOT AT&T, Verizon or SPRINT Branded
May require using cellphone's browser to download application
We have UTI signed and unsigned versions of our applications for these cellphones.


SONY:
NOTE: For SONY cellphones that are NOT AT&T, Verizon or SPRINT Branded
We have UTI signed and unsigned versions of our applications for these cellphones.


Windows Smartphones:
NOTE: For Windows Smartphones that are NOT AT&T, Verizon or SPRINT Branded
NOTE: Only works on Windows Mobile 5 and 6 and up
NOTE: A Windows software and reference hardware issue with Windows Mobile 5 and 6 and up handsets may prevent proper operation of our application on the handset. Microsoft has fixed this issue in their software and reference hardware specifications. Revised hardware will be released sometime early 2009 that will correct the current issues and allow proper operation of Bluetooth applications on all Windows Smartphones.
We have UTI signed and unsigned versions of our applications for these cellphones.



OLDER CELLPHONES:
We also support older cellphones that use Java MIDP 1.1 and Java JSR-82 Bluetooth with special unsigned versions of our applications.
